Groups other than Philosophy Club will be invited to join before we open the Chat Room. Hang out with the officers of current and past years in Philosophy Club.

Register for an account. You must be registered in order to be recognized as a club member. Guests are welcome, and accounts are for non-students.

Saturdays and Sundays - 9:00PM to 10:PM

Rules to abide by:

• Follow the format of discussion
• Keep discussion related to philosophy or the current topic
  
• Respect the opinions of others
  
• Do not act self-righteous
  
• Do not say things that do not contribute to a conclusion of the debate/discussion
• One warrant that one will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws
  

Format of Discussion

• Type in proper punctuation, grammar, and logic
  
• This is crucial in exchaning ideas effectively
• Be clear and concise in writing
  
• Be objective in general discussions, and then add personal experiences
  
• Use the Socratic Method, reason by logic, or reason by analogy
  
• Conclude at the end of discussion and summarize the ideas
  
• Address people by their first name if there are more than two people speaking at once

By following these rules, I wish all of you success in breaking new grounds on discussions.
